Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna has revealed that Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is a ‘priority’ transfer target for Wolves.
The Lowdown: Back in favour
Wan-Bissaka is a player that seems to be back in favour under Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford, having started United’s last three games in the Premier League, including their 1-0 win away at Wolves.
Before that, he had only had a mere praised him for his recent impressive performances.
The Latest: Wan-Bissaka a ‘priority’
Taking to Twitter, Aouna has revealed that Wan-Bissaka is a ‘priority’ target at Molineux, and have ‘already expressed interest’ in signing him:
“The United right-back is the priority for Wolverhampton who have already expressed interest.”
The Verdict: Get it done
Given his recent resurgence at Old Trafford, Wan-Bissaka would be a shrewd signing by Julen Lopetegui’s side.
Hailed as an ‘absolute beast’ by Football Talent Scout Jacek Kulig after an impressive past performance against Wolves, the Englishman ranks in the 99th percentile for interceptions, 97th for tackles and dribbles completed and 88th for touches per game of all right-backs in Europe’s top five leagues over the last year (FBRef).
Sharing a similar playing style to Old Gold full-backs Nelson Semedo and Rayan Ait-Nouri, Wan-Bissaka would fit in well at the Wanderers, should they be able to agreed a deal with United in this window.
